About the project
Created in early 2022, when the world—and myself—was reawakening with renewed energy, Day's End was born from the ideas that took shape during the quiet solitude of lockdown. Among them, this story held my heart the most, as it beautifully captures the tender, often overwhelming reflections we all faced in a time when our only way to engage with life was through the lens of our thoughts. It’s a love letter to overthinking, a poetic glimpse into the delicate dance between imagination and reality, and the moments of vulnerability we found ourselves wrapped in.
As both the music artist and director throughout the production of Day's End, I took on a more managerial role, learning how to effectively communicate my vision while spending most of my time in front of the camera. This project reinforced the value of detailed pre-production and the importance of delegation to maintain high quality without constant supervision.
After two weeks on air, the music video gained over 200,000 views on Youtube, and has been generating 1M views ever since. With the visually poetic look combined with the beautiful composition of the song. Day's End quickly became an icon in the Vietnamese indie music scene.
